My Story

"Wherever you are, whatever you are doing, take time to be in the moment"

My name is Zara and I welcome you warmly to my website.

My passion is yoga and wellbeing and I believe that everyone can find some space to nurture themselves with positive outcomes. 

I set up You Yoga because to me, yoga is simply that......all about You!

We are all so unique and different and sometimes we think that we have to change our bodies to be good at something.  I believe that anybody can practice yoga whatever your body type.  Its all about adapting the way you look at things and simply observing what your body is asking for.  

I love to watch my students evolve and find confidence within their own bodies.  

My aim is to teach from the heart with compassion and share my love and teachings I have learnt with you.

I have been fortunate to train and learn from wonderful yoga teachers that continue to guide me through my own yoga journey every day.

I studied at Bristol School of Yoga with Laura Gilmour and Ashley Russell.  In 2019 I graduated and became a 200 hour Hatha Yoga teacher certified by Yoga Alliances Professionals.

I spent time in Kerala, India after graduating to find some grounding and balance within the Sivananda Ashram.  Here I enjoyed the traditional yoga that was taught and spent many hours meditating, chanting and enjoying the simple life the Ashram offered.

I have recently had the pleasure of working with and raising money for The Silver Star Society with a Chairty Yoga Event. 

They are based the John Radcliffe Hospital and specialise in caring for women with high risk pregnancies.

I love to spend my time with my friends, reading, being outdoors, walking, running, growing my own fruit and vegetables, cooking, baking and doing the school run!

I have two beautiful girls aged 14 and 7 who are my greatest inspirations.  Being a Mum has played a huge part in my yoga journey and has influenced the way I teach.  

Yoga really is for everyone and I cannot wait to welcome you into class and watch you become you.
